Softbridge Solutions to collaborate with Keiwa Business in software development & marketing of RFID IC tag system and services

Tokyo, December 12, 2003: Softbridge Solutions and Keiwa Business, today entered into a strategic alliance to jointly develop applications in the emerging arena of RFID IC tag technology.

This partnership will enable both organizations to offer comprehensive software solutions and services to customers in the Japanese and Asian markets.

Softbridge will provide software development resources, both onsite and offshore to complement Keiwa of development teams in Japan. In addition, Softbridge will market the RFID IC tag systems and services outside Japan.

The first RFID IC tag system to be jointly developed by the two companies will be for managing participant identification at large events. . The logistics of this process will be hugely simplified by using invitations with RFID IC tags embedded in them Participants can then gain entry by simply holding the brochure over a reader installed at the entrance. This will also allow information of the participants to be automatically stored in a database. The entire system will be linked to a back-end so the information is available for additional follow-up activity.

Keiwa will be an end-to-end service provider, taking care of printing, IC tag insertion, IC tag read/write device technology and application software.
