Research Facilities at SCIT
SCIT focuses on nurturing and building its own research culture and facilities. The research activities are aimed at developing new knowledge, information or understanding, working out a solution framework, defining parameters that impact or lead to solutions etc. for problem areas in various IT domains.
Current Research Areas:
SCIT faculty members and students are currently working on these research areas: Messaging, Security, High Performance / High Availability, Policy-based Network Management, Smart Internet Technologies and eGovernance.
Proof of Concept Lab:
This unique lab equipped with multiple platforms and multiple devices provides an arena to experiment with ideas and hypothesis. Several projects have been delivered in the research areas using open source and other environments.
Resource Center:
SCIT Resource Center is on the "Continuous Learning and Search for Solutions" mantra and endeavors to seek assignments from industry for delivering IT solutions. It combines with academic intelligence of faculty members, professional expertise & trained skills of students. Assignments in a range of areas are undertaken. So far fourteen projects have been delivered covering Open Source Network Administration & Management Tools, Database Conversion Tools, and Web-based Solutions, etc.
