Methodology
This methodology for the maintenance of software
can be described as a distributed model, with
some phases of the project being conducted onsite
and others being conducted offshore. For instance
the requirements analysis, which requires client
interaction are conducted at the client’s
location. In parallel, key technical members are
selected and assigned to a new team offshore.
For the next 1-3 months, the team studies existing
product documentation and/or code prior to starting
the project. Successive phases of the project,
like product update, customizing, bug fixing or
testing are performed by the dedicated team at
our offshore locations in India. Finally the tested
product is brought back onsite to the client for
Acceptance testing.
