| COURSE DESCRIPTION |
The primary aim of the course is to teach Engineers from various disciplines the principles of embedded systems engineering. This course explains the discipline, as made of a set of components which have to be assembled in suitable patterns. It also makes the Engineers capable of understanding, appreciating and applying design principles and careful analysis based on theory and experience at all levels of embedded systems development. It clarifies the relationship between the mutable software and the relatively invariant hardware and issues in solution building with classical as well as new systems such as FPGA's and other configurable hardware components. The course also addresses the issues of testing and reliability matrices in fair degree of detail, focusing on de jure and de facto best practices in the industry in the past and present. |
| PREREQUISITES |
